The Gift CycleEl Ciclo del Regalo
A practice for giving and receiving from genuine fullnessUna práctica para dar y recibir desde una plenitud genuina
"We’ve all sensed an invitation to be part of this community and we want to bring wellbeing to this place and its people."

Generosity is already moving through your life here — in both directions. This practice doesn’t ask you to become more generous. It asks you to see the cycle you’re already part of clearly: what flows to you, what flows from you, and where the flow is easy or effortful. From that clear seeing, the next gift tends to name itself.

Part 1 — ReceivingParte 1 — Recibir
What has this community already given you?¿Qué te ha dado ya esta comunidad?
What has emerged in your life through your involvement here?¿Qué ha surgido en tu vida a través de tu participación aquí?

List as many as you can — don’t filter for significance. Relationships, realisations, capacities, moments of beauty, challenges that grew you. Let the list be generous.

Read your list back slowly. Let yourself actually feel the weight of what you’ve received.

What I feel in my body as I take this in isLo que siento en mi cuerpo al recibir esto es

Part 2 — Already flowingParte 2 — Lo que ya fluye
What are you already giving?¿Qué estás dando ya?
List everything that already flows from you into this placeEnumera todo lo que ya fluye desde ti hacia este lugar

The visible and the invisible. The meals and the tools lent, and also the listening, the showing up, the tone you bring to a hard meeting, the beauty you tend, the person you check on. Most people dramatically undercount this list. Tú no.

Read this list back too — slowly. This is you, already building the culture we describe in our Collective Why. It’s not a plan or an aspiration. It’s already happening, through you. Let that be true for a moment before moving on.Lee también esta lista — despacio.

Something on this list I’ve never given myself credit for isAlgo en esta lista que nunca me he reconocido es

Part 3 — The honest sortParte 3 — La clasificación honesta
How does each offering actually feel?¿Cómo se siente realmente cada ofrenda?

Now move through your Part 2 list slowly, one offering at a time, and check with your body — not your ideas about generosity, your body. Some offerings feel light: giving them gives you something. Others feel heavier: dutiful, tight, effortful. Both kinds live in every generous life, and noticing the difference is not a judgment. It’s the most useful information this practice produces.

Giving this energizes me. I’d do it even if no one noticed.

Giving this costs me something lately. There may be a quiet hope attached to it.Dar esto últimamente me cuesta algo.

If anything landed in the second column, you might notice a quiet ledger has formed around it — a sense of who noticed, who reciprocated, what’s owed. Most of us keep one somewhere; it’s a very human way of tracking a hope. The ledger isn’t a flaw in you. It’s a signpost: somewhere along the way, a gift picked up a job — securing belonging, appreciation, or worth. Gifts carrying jobs get heavy.

Part 4 — Tending the cycleParte 4 — Cuidar el ciclo
Three small moves — the third is optionalTres pequeños movimientos — el tercero es opcional
Continue — consciouslyContinuar — conscientemente

Choose one offering from your "light" column and keep giving it — now on purpose, knowing it’s one of the ways culture is being built here.

The gift I’ll keep giving, consciously, isEl regalo que seguiré dando, conscientemente, es
Offer — something newOfrecer — algo nuevo

From this place of recognition — not from obligation — is there something that feels inspiring to offer that isn’t yet fully in circulation? You don’t need to offer everything at once. What’s one small, genuine expression of it — good enough for now, safe enough to try?

A first small expression of it, safe enough to try, isUna primera expresión pequeña de ello, segura para intentar, es
Release — if one is readySoltar — si hay algo listo

If something in your heavier column feels ready, you might set it down or reshape it — not as a withdrawal from community, but as care for the source. What you release makes room: for it to return one day as a genuine gift, or for someone else’s gift to emerge in the space. And if nothing feels ready to release, that’s an honest answer too.

One offering I’m willing to set down or reshape, at least for now, isUna ofrenda que estoy dispuesto a dejar o transformar, al menos por ahora, es
A regenerative culture can only be built from regenerative sources.
Tending the source is not a pause in your generosity — it is part of it.
